My fight with diabetes

I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2015, and had an A1C of 11.8 (borderline stroke levels). It was devastating news being that I was supposed to be helping people avoid diabetes.

In addition to diabetes, I had high blood pressure, and cholesterol levels that were off the charts. I wasn’t eating right at all and was drinking way too much alcohol. I quit drinking right away and began eating healthier…a lot of vegetables during meals.

I also began a steady exercise regimen which included lifting weights, and a lot of cardo workouts. With all three of these life changes, two years later, I don’t have diabetes anymore. I also don’t take any meds for blood pressure or for cholesterol levels.
I went from taking around 12 pills daily to taking none…it’s doable for anybody.

This is what I want to share with Native American people, you can beat diabetes
if you really apply yourself. It’s not easy, but it IS DOABLE!
